Real Strength

“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Ephesians 6:10

Most men define strength by what they can lift, how hard they can push, and how much they can endure without showing a crack.

And there is nothing wrong with physical strength.

But the man who only develops his body and neglects everything underneath it is building an impressive exterior on a foundation that has not been tested yet.

Real strength is build by discipline over comfort, sacrifice over self, faith over pride.

Every single day.

What separates a man who is simply strong from a man who is strong in the Lord.

The first man relies on what he has built in himself.

The second man knows that what he has built in himself is not enough and never was.

He has stopped trying to be the source of his own strength and started drawing from something that does not run out.

And that man is dangerous in the best possible way.

Because his strength does not peak and fade with his physical condition.

It does not crack under pressure or evaporate in a hard season.

It is anchored in something that has never lost.

Your strength is not just for you.

It is for the people depending on you.

Your wife needs a man whose strength does not disappear when life gets hard.

Your children need a father whose foundation holds when everything around them is shaking.

The men in your circle need someone to point to and say that man does not fold.

Be that man.

Not in your own strength.

In His.

Let’s Pray

God, remind me daily that my strength finds its source in You and not in myself.

Where I have been relying on my own discipline and willpower and calling it enough, humble me.

Build in me the kind of strength that does not depend on how I feel or what I have left in the tank.

Let my physical strength be an overflow of something deeper.

Let the way I carry myself point the people around me to where my strength actually comes from.

Make me strong in You.
Everything else is just the evidence of that.
